Does bacteria have chromosome(s)?

I know bacteria has DNA, but I thought it was packed into plasmids. Is there such thing as a bacterial chromosome?

I know bacteria has DNA, but I thought it was packed into plasmids. Is there such thing as a bacterial chromosome?

If so, does it have histone proteins that compress the DNA into chromatids like in eukaryotes?
