while looking for science fair projects, i came across this, and am considering trying out the experiment:
"I Did a project to dentermine if the processing of food produces gas. I took the fresh, canned, and frozen veggies and grounded them up and mixed each with vinegar, put them in test tubes and placed a balloon over the tube and measured the gas in the balloon. This won first place in the school and regional science fairs. "

my question: how would you measure how much gas there is in the balloon?

Hi,

I am confused a bit on how to start this one:

Two 3.0 g spheres are suspended from the ceiling on a 1.0m-long rope with each sphere being on a different rope. The two ropes are suspended from the same point on the ceiling. The spheres repel each other after being equally charged. When the spheres repel each other, the rope they are attached on forms a 20 degree angle with the y-axis in each case. So there is a total of 40 degrees apart between the spheres. What is the charge of the spheres?

I am assuming I have to use F = (kq)/r^2 but I am a bit confused as to where to go from there. Any ideas?

Thanks
