Given: < 1 is a supplement of < 2
< 3 is a supplement of < 4
m < 2 = m < 4

Prove: m<1=m<3

A supplement of an angle is 180 degrees - that angle.

So, if angle 1 is supplement of angle 2, then angle 1 = 180- angle 2.
Similarly, angle 3 = 180 - angle 4.
So, if angle 2= angle 4, then angle 1 = angle 2.
