I need to crush up my medication and weigh it out in grams. Actually it will be divided into a half gram dose or one-quarter gram dose.I need to know how a half gram and quarter gram is written so I can choose the right scale to buy. Thanks......

.5 g = 5/10 g = 1/2
.05 g = 5/100 g

like anything measured, half a gram is written .5. just because you change the units doesnt mean that the number changes. a quarter of a gram would be 0.25, just like if you were writing that you had twentyfive cents in your pocket in decimal numbers.
