One side of my triangle is 10' 2". The second side is 15' 3". These two sides are at a 90 degree angle to eachother. I know there is a formula to figure it out, but Algebra class was a long time ago, and I never took geometry. Can you tell me what the formula is?

... or at least never noticed any of them visiting us?
I was just thinking, if humans can ever travel back in time then it's reasonably safe to say that they would visit during this century or the last century. But then again if they impacted our times enough then perhaps it would alter the path of time enough such that they would have never gone back in time in the first place or at least their time-travelling would have been different which would then negate the previous visit and so on... What do you guys think? Confusing stuff...

When I was about 9 yrs. old, I was riding my bike on a Sunday at dusk. An old man(about 50) stoped and rolled down his passenger window to ask me if I knew where a certain street was.
I told him I did'nt recognize the name of the street and he told me
how pretty I was and that my hand looked really soft and wanted to touch it. Being the obediant child of the fifty's, I held out my hand so he could feel it. Just as my hand was within 3 inches of his, I heard a stern woman's voice in my right ear say "NO".
I was so startled, that I got back on my bike and told him that I had to go home. I'm not crazy...I know what I heard....who was she?

Would the ball of clay convert into ceramic as it races through the Earth's atmosphere? Would it create a sonic boom? Would it disintegrate or survive on impact? What would be some additional effects? Would NASA be able to perform this experiment or would it just be too dangerous to perform? What if it hit water, ground or a building? Have astronauts ever tried similar experiments (e.g., throwing things in space)?
