CAD/CAM applications on computers are used by engineers at manufacturing companies to design the real world shape of the parts that go together to make the product the company wants to sell.
Some examples of CAD/CAM applications are:
CATIA
AUTOCAD
CADKEY
Unigraphics
SolidWorks
and many more

there is cylidrical symmetry in tubes and pipes so 2d representations (noted as axisymmetric) will suffice for most FEA applications. verify out the person manuals for this kind of modelling.
