My husband has had to drive through Denver on I-70 going West to get to a new job and he is stuck in the snow storm right now. He is on the West side of Denver heading towards Vail. He is headed to North Eastern Utah. If he doesnt make it by tomorrow morning he probably wont get the job that they are holding for him! Im so worried about him and the job. Do you think he will make it? Does anyone know at what point he will be safe, out of the storm and back into decent weather? Im just very worried about him. We dont live anywhere near where it snows, so I dont know much about it.

What size wood beam is needed to replace load bearing wall?
I would like to remove a load bearing wall in the basement of my two story house. Cut 2x10 floor joists are now supported by this wall. On one side, the room area is 138sqft (2x10's are 10'10'' long), on the other, the room area is 96sqft (2x10's are 7'6" long). The unsupported span of the beam will be 10'8". What size LVL or Parallam do I need?. What is the best way to support the ceiling during wall removal and beam installation? Is there something I can rent to avoid building temporary walls?

Thanks!

In chemistry an absolute zero temperature is defined to be a complete lack of kinetic motion at a nanoscale; does physics also have similar concept? Even if we could attain absolute zero temperature in a labratory we would still be far from an absolute zero velocity because the eart is moving around the sun, the sun moving around the galactic center, and on and on.
