My husband has had to drive through Denver on I-70 going West to get to a new job and he is stuck in the snow storm right now. He is on the West side of Denver heading towards Vail. He is headed to North Eastern Utah. If he doesnt make it by tomorrow morning he probably wont get the job that they are holding for him! Im so worried about him and the job. Do you think he will make it? Does anyone know at what point he will be safe, out of the storm and back into decent weather? Im just very worried about him. We dont live anywhere near where it snows, so I dont know much about it.

I-70 is closed at the both side going East & West. I just got home barely in my Mazda. If he's stuck in Denver, I don't think they'll open I-70 toward Utah until saturday. I'm so sorry about your husband. I know what it's like to be stuck in the snow. I've been there myself. Just hope he spends the night in some place warm.

This sounds to me like a good test of your husband's potential future employer. If they would deny him the job simply on the basis of him being delayed by a blizzard, then who the hell wants to work for them?? Good advice for him to call them in the morning to let them know he's stuck, though...

Does he have experience driving through mountains during a snowstorm? Does he have a good vehicle for such a challenge? Driving the CO mountains during a storm is nothing to be taken lightly. The mountains don't care who lives or dies, and it's no place to be unprepared in such a situation.

I-70 was closed for awhile today, and may close back up soon, but is said to be open at this time. Use this link for info:

Good luck to you and him. I'd get a nice cozy motel room and wait until, oh, Monday.

it is predominantly a front selection/eastern Plains typhoon. he's going to be caught on I-70 merely west of Denver for a protracted time yet he will make it. The stuff you're seeing on the television relating to the "Colorado typhoon" is unquestionably particularly a "front selection typhoon." with the aid of the time he's in Vail it would desire to be slightly snowing. here is the type you do it: the two hands progressively on the wheel and on no account COME to an entire quit. do no longer difficulty i'm useful he would be effective. we've terrific street crews here.

IF he can make it across the mountains, he will be just fine. Of course, the stations out there are reproting reduced visibilities and heavy snow. Your husband cant reschedule the interview, as I think that will be best with the weather conditions tonight.

Actually I just looked on weather.com, and the radar for Denver makes it look like it clears up pretty quickly to the west of Denver!

i think he's fine depending on the snow storm. i assume that colorado (a hot area)wont have long/harsh snow storms...he'll make it if he can drive as careful but fast as possible

good luck w/ that

god bless you and the job ^^
