I'm a senior in high school about to graduate in a few months, I plan to do a major research for my senior final involving the study of p53 and its affects on cancer growth. Ideally, I would need the help of a local university professor (SFSU) although I want to be sure what I'm doing so I could have a little more confidence with how to deal with state-of-the-art lab materials. What are the equipments used to study molecular proteins? How do you use it and finally analyze the results? Anyone with a Life Science background are more than welcomed to contribute! :-)

Im thouroughly fed up with my budgie Billy.
All it ever does is make stupid noises that mean nothing.Everytime I let him out of his cage, he flaps his wings furiously and actually gets nowhere except the floor.

Question is this... I live on the 14th floor. If I sling him out of the balcony window, would the height be sufficient to let him fly away or should i simply put him in the rubbish shute... Things might be different if only he could talk, but i hate him for just chirping away all day long.....

Why Does Fusion bombs release more energy...Seems splitting atoms in Fission would release more of the Strong Nuclear Force then Fusing atoms or does it have to do with the Helium produced in Fusion that expands further covering more ground taking energy with it

Walking on the beach today I noticed that the piles of stones seem to gather in patches of similar sizes. Pea size, grain of wheat size and sand size in patches the size of a swimming pool or two. Any idea why they congregate like this?

Are blue eyes possible only if both parents are blue eyed since for blue I hear that all four alleles must be blue. Is that true? If one parent is blue eyed and other black then the kids eyes can be any color but it cant be blue. Is this so?

I grow a plant called Basil or Basilic. It is a seasoning for Italian food. As cold winter is coming,I picked it from my garden and plant it in a pot. I saw a small plant grow from the main branch of Basil. This parasite does not have its own root or leave. It looks like a mixed spider web in light green color. Its has 0.5mm radiou climbing branches to search more planes to suck. Who could tell me what it is ?
