Such as like a corner of a can?

A cylinder cannot have a corner because a cylinder's base is a circle, which has no corners. (mathematically, it has an infinite number of them). But technically depending on your perspective you can say that a "side" of a can is a corner, but not usually.

If you are talking about a cylinder in and of itself, then no, there are no corners by your definition. Now, what you are talking about is a cylinder that is somehow attached to a flat surface, this would have corners per your definitions.

If you cut a "right circular" cylinder in half down the middle you either create a circular section or a rectangular section. The rectangle has four corners, and so would the rectangular section.

I would have no problem saying the section has a corner, but I would be sure to say "right circular" beause if thats not true, you get different shapes. You could have elliptic cylinders, or vase-like structures that are rotationally symmetric, but not rectangular in section.

Even if you define a 'corner' as that which is two surfaces which meet or intersect at right angles....90 degrees........π radians......100 gradians......the cylinder still meets this requirement....and I've never seen a definition of a corner, nor have I needed one....why is it that if you take a straight line....bend it into a curve and all of a sudden people think it's something different......I'll never know.

Yes....a cylinder has a corner man.

A can is a cylinder. If you've seen a corner in a can, you have your answer.

If you consider a right angle a corner..... yes.

The base is perpindicular to the side, resulting in a right angle (a corner).

You could probably get away with calling it an edge... but not a corner.
