A projectile of mass 7.4 kg kg is shot horizon-
tally with an initial speed of 19.5 m/s from a
height of 20.6 m above a flat desert surface.
The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s2 .

a) For the instant before the projectile hits
the surface, find the work done on the projec-
tile by gravity. Answer in units of J.

Find the change in kinetic energy since the
projectile was fired. Answer in units of J.

Find the final kinetic energy of the projec-
tile. Answer in units of J.

I was wondering when they show where a spacecraft is right above a flat map of the earth, how come there are usually 3 or so paths that seem to mirror the actual orbital path? It's very frequently shown on the big main screen at places like Mission Control and stuff. What do those other lines represent?

I remember my Bio teacher saying something about us needing lungs because we wouldn't be able to get enough o2 from diffusion through our skin alone...and also *random* in that Bond film where the woman found dead was painted gold, they said they couldn't paint her whole body gold because she'd (suffocate)? Don't know if that's at all related lol but...just answer the main question plz lol.

1.Does the realtive mass have any unit? Why or why not?
Please explain and give examples.

2. please consider this,

when it comes to atoms, the reference particle is the isotope of carbon, C-12, which is assigned exactly 12 mass units. The relative masses of atoms, known as atomis masses (or atomic weights, have been determined. For some elements, these are:

ELEMENT ATOMIC MASS (relative mass)
hydrogen 1.01
carbon 12.01
oxygen 16.00
iron 55.85
gold 196.97
So, what do these numbers mean?
