Its not 220 nor 118. But I dunno the answer.

I think its a trick question. Its on an annoying TV quiz now. So I know the answer is NOT 220, 118, 19, 10, 112, 38. Its driving me nuts! The question is written like this (ie words and numbers ) on the TV quiz.

according to BEDMAS since there are no brackets or exponents then multiply or divide first so
9 + 11 + 82 +16
=20 + 82 + 16
=102 + 16
=118

= 9+11+82+16
= 20 + 82 + 16
= 102 + 16
= 118

it depends on the order of operation
9+11+82+8X2=?
you re suppose to do the multiplication first
9+11+82+(8x2)= 118
but if you do it backwards.......
(9+11+82+8)x2= 220
this is always the wrong answer
a scientific calculator will give you 118, this is the correct answer unless you are missing something in your question.
