A single bead can slide with negligible friction on a wire that is bent into a circular loop of radius 15.0 cm. The circle is always in a vertical plane and rotates steadily about is vertical diameter with (a) a period of 0.450 s. The position of the bead is described by the angle theta that the radial line, from the center of the loop to the bead, makes with the vertical. At what angle up from the bottom of the circle can the bead stary motionless relative to the turning circle? (b) Repeat the problem if the period of the circle's rotation is 0.850 s.

Lots of people probably touched the gallon I had purchased and then it goes into my refrigerator. Do a have those germs from many people inside there? do i have to wipe things off? This same question goes for everything that we or people touch and stays sit for months until we touch it again. How long germs live in one place?

Imagine that you were studying a primitive organism found on mars. Within this organsim, there are 2 compounds that look like promising possibilities for the hereditary material of the organism. Each compound contains an element NOT found in the other.
How could you use radioactive isoptopes to determine which of the 2 componds is replicated as the cells of the organism replicate & divide?
----
I don't really understand the uses of radioactive isotopes, I've been trying to read up on it- but it still doesn't make complete sense & I'm not quite sure how to apply it to situations like the one above. Can someone please help explain it to me. I would really appreciate it. Thank You! = )
