A statistics question for you.

You have a 10-sided die with ONE 'YES' and NINE 'NO' outcomes (i.e. 10% chance of getting a 'YES').

If you roll the die 7 times, what is the probability that you get AT LEAST ONE 'YES' to come up?

Answers and explanations please. Thanks in advance.

I know that on ECG, with unstable angina you get ST depression and with M.I. you get ST elevation. But how come two similar conditions produce completely opposite actions on ECG? I've read up on it and I can't find a simple answer. Can anyone explain to me simply why this happens?

Imagine you have a square meter of toliet paper. The oter edges are supported by a wooden frame and then the entire apparatus is placed in a vacuum (a region devoid of air). Next, sand is slowly added in the center. After adding 0.500 kg of sand to the toliet paper, it rips. Then the experimenter states that he has just disproved that atmospheric pressure could be 10,130 N/m (squared). This pressure indicates that the air alone will apply a force 10,130N to a square meter of any material. The experiment indicates that toliet paper can only withstand a pressre of 0.500 N/m(squared). Is the method correct and is his conclusion accurate?

I'm really confused.

The # of MO are obtained by counting the atomic orbitals; for every atomic orbital combined, one MO results.

So here's my question (s):

1) To determine the # of MO, which atomic orbitals do we count? The valence atomic orbitals? The atomic orbitals with only 1 e-?

2) Once we have the # of MO, how do we determine how many electrons are in either a bonding or antibonding orbital?

For instance, how would I determine that there are 3 bonding pairs and 1 antibonding pair in C2?

I'm really confused, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm working on a project for work that requires the solution of a pretty general optimization problem:

It's essentially a resource allocation problem. Imagine x different resource types which are needed to engage in some combination of projects. Each project requires a specific combination of resources and yields a certain profit.

The algorithm must find the resource/project combination that maximizes profitability. Looking for something that is better than exhaustive / brute force optimizations. Thanks!

I don't weigh much, 120 lbs, and was wondering if this had any effect on the dose. i've never done acid before.
i'm planning on taking 3 hits with some friends on saturday night.
i only want to hear from people who actually know about this subject, not someone trying to talk me out of doing acid.

A snack bar sells burritos and nachos during basketball games, to make a profit the snack bar must sell at least 10 burritos but cannot prepare more than 40. It must also sell at least 30 nachos but can not prepare more than 70. The snack bar cannot prepare more than a total of 90 burritos and nachos altogether. The profit is $0.95 on a burrito and $0.45 on a nacho. How many of each kind of snack should be sold to make the maximum profit.

I have to graph it and solve it, but please tell me what to graph and how to solve thanks so much :D
