anions are larger than atoms b/c they gain e-

each successive ionization energy gets higher becasue the #protons is more and more unbalanced by # e-

halogens have 7 valence e- and noble gases have 8. by gaining one e- the halogens now have the e- configuration of a noble gas and are more stable. gain 1 e- = 1- charge

yes ur right -3 is the answer becoz all the elements in group 5A and the nitrogen is monatomic in 5A they have a 5 valence electrons
