Last few days, I've killed three flies in the house. They're houseflies. It's below freezing here so it's unlikely they're coming in from outside, and I've got all the windows closed. I'm wondering if they're coming through the vents.
I put some mouse poison in the basement around two months ago, is it possible that they are coming from a dead mouse? ugh, it's very disgusting!

From anyone else who is or was a chemistry major like me, especially if you are now a successful professor or Phd....I would appreciate ANY words of encouragement even if it is just one word or sentence. Stories of when you were in college would be so great right now. I really don't have anyone to talk to. I am so totally burned out right now. I am an A student in all my subjects but the semester is nearly over and I really don't think I have what it takes emotionally mentally or physically to pass the finals, let alone enroll for the upcoming semester.
THANKS!

I'm trying to figure out how long the aircraft is, that is hiding behind the call box. I can see its top rear fin and its exhaust trail, so I know it's back there. See video: Time = 00:25.
http://www.clipaday.com/2006/05/pentagon_plane_crash_from_sept.html

The first triangle is formed by the camera at one corner and a call box of length 2.5 ft., as the opposite side. There is a distance of 28.8 ft between them.

The second triangle is formed be the same camera at one corner and the aircraft of length "X", as the opposite side. The distance between them is 691.2 ft.

I know its suppose to be a ratio between 2.5 ft. is to 28.8 ft, as "X" is to 691.2 ft. I also know the aircraft will be a little smaller than the answer since it easily fits behind the call box.

Can you help me solve for "X", the aircraft length ?

z + (conjugate of z) = (modulus of z)^2?

In other words, (a + ib) + (a - ib) = a^2 + b^2?
