Yes Folks, I live in Maryland and I hate it when people say we are Yakees. We are not any way associated with The North ! We actually didnt side with the north cause we wanted to beapart of the Confederate states, but Licoln forsed us to be a border state! Unlike the north, we are very rural, and we DO still have some confederate flags! Maryland Came into This country as a southern state, it is below the dang Mason Dixion Line, The Accent is KINDA Southern at southern maryland's towns and so are the people. WERE NOT THE Dang NORTH! Folks please don't use that Mid Atlantic BS. Because Mid Atlantic is not a direction .

I AINT NO YANKEE!
And i Defenitly not no new englander!!

An object of mass m is traveling on a horizontal surface. There is a coefficient of kinetic friction (mu) between the object and the surface. The object has speed v when it reaches x=0 and encounters a spring. The object compresses the spring, stops, and then recoils and travels in the opposite direction. When the object reaches x=0 on its return trip, it stops.

Find k , the spring constant.
Express k in terms of (mu),m ,g , and v.

This is one question.. A sled weighing 60.0 N is pulled horizontally across snow so that the coefficient of kinetic friction between the sled and the snow is .100. A penguin weighing 70.0 N rides on the sled. If the coefficient of static friction between the penguin and the sled is .700, find the maximum horizontal force that can be exerted on the sled before the penguin begins to slide off.
