Corey's harvest consists of 4000 bananas. The marketplace where the harvest can be sold is 1000 miles away. Corey can carry 1000 bananas at a time. However, Corey eats one banana each mile he walks.

How many bananas can Corey get to the market?

Well, from what I remember,
1) Pick up 1000. You have to go 250 miles, drop 500, go back 250, pick up 1000.
2) Go 250, pick up 500(you now have 1250), go 250, and drop 500. go back 500.
3) Pick up 1000 again. Then go 250 miles, drop 500, go back 250, pick up 1000.
4) Pick up the remaining 1000 bananas. You have 0 left in bank now. So now you go 250 again, pick up the 500, (you have 1250 again), go 250 (now your 500 miles, and 1000 bananas),
5) pick up the 500 left at that area, now you have 1,500 bananas and your half way there! now you just walk 500 miles and corey has 1000 to sell at the store!!!

therefore on his first

4000 = total harvest

he eats 1 per mile
therfore whrn he gets to the narket the first tume he has no bananas therefore he return home and eats 1000 bananas that leaves 2000 bananas he makes the second trip with 1000 that leaves 1000 bananas he arrives at the matket with no bananas having ate 1 per mile during the trip there He return home and eats the remaining bananas becaue of the return trip
