I need to know how the Mississippi River came to be (glacier movement; plate techtonics; ect.). You know, the history of the Mississippi, from the break up of Pangea. Also, what geology forces are acting upon the river (deposition, erosion, weathering, ect.)? Any information/links would be helpful. Pictures on those links much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In a diploid set of chromosomes, one member of each pair of homologous chromosomes is derived from the father (paternal), and the other comes from the mother (maternal).

.......If 2n = 6, what is the probability of obtaining a gamete in which all the chromosomes are paternal ones?

(x+5)^(1/2) + (x+10)^(1/2) >2
After solving it i get x > -79/16 however if you put -5 in the equation it works. After thinking for a bit i thought of the part where i get
1/4 < (x+5)^(1/2) and when you know that a radical has to be greater than 0, so I just switched the 1/4 with a 0 and i get x>-5 but that doesnt really seem right to me. I put the equation in the calculator and it got x >-5

A type of elevator called a cage is used to raise and lower miners in a mine shaft. Suppose the cage carries a group of miners down the shaft. If the unblanced force on the cage is 60.0 N, and the mass of the loaded cage is 1.50*10^2 kg, what is the acceleration on the cage?

The hands of clock A point to 6 o clock. At the moment past 6 the minute hand traveling downwards will have a increase of speed of x% every minute due to gravity. At 6:15 the speed of the minute minute hand will be of constant speed until 6:30. Since the hour hand at 6 is traveling upwards against gravity, its motion will be slowed by y% every hour until 9:00. After 9 the hand will have a constant speed until midnight. If clock B is place in a weightless enviroment, the minute and hour hand will perfectly match each other some time after 6 o clock. The hands of clock A will do the same, although at a different time. In terms of x and y, the absolute difference in times when this will happen is what?

I have seen the happen multiple times and it completely fascinates me (being a very scientificely accurate person). But, I cannot whatsoever figure out how this happens. My main eye color is a dark brown. On some days, it's blue! And on other days, it's green! It is truly extraordinary! Plus, it was not just me who has seen this happen, other family members and friends have watched this happen to me too. How is this possible? I really am anxious to find out.

I have one column of data for 3,500 days (Column A). I created a second column of numbers, 1 to 3500 (Column B).

In Excel, I then entered the formulae =RSQ(A1:A3,B1:B3) and =RSQ(A1:A4,B1:B4) etc. up to 100 days. As of today, the Linear Regression Trendline (LRT) that best fits my data is a 91-day LRT. It has an R-squared value of .9685.

To set outer bands for tomorrow's possible data, should I use "Standard Error" (SE) or "Standard Deviation" (SD)? After brief backtests, if I have a LRT with an R-squared > .9, my data normally reverses if it gets near 2 SE from that LRT unless the LRT is for a short time period (i.e., between 3 and 10 days). If I use SD, however, it appears that my data rarely gets anywhere near 2 SD from a LRT with an R-squared > .9--unless a short time period (i.e. 3-10 days).

If I should use SE, and I multiply the SE for the last 91 days by a z-value of 1.96, is the confidence interval (CI) 95%? If not, how can I find a CI of 95% (like 2SD) for SE value?
