There are more protons than electrons. Protons are plus. Electrons are minus. In hydrogen ion, there is one proton and zero electrons!

Cations are positively charged molecules and anions are negatively charged. Since protons carry a positive charge and electrons have a negative charge, a cation will have more protons than electrons.
