In evolution the theory goes that all life evolved from a single organism. I want to know how that organism knew of its mortality because all living things die. Because if it was the first there was no apriori knowledge, no instinct.

I am a Christian who firmly believes in creationism but I ask this question in all sincerity.

Every single second your brain is bombarded with 4 billion bits of information. Your brain is only capable of processing 2,000 bits of that info. That means there is more out there than I’m able to see. So what is reality?

I don't know if anyone can help me w/my question since it's a myth/legend. I saw something a few years ago on the SCI-FI channel. It was interesting. It was about a monk that went into the forest and fell asleep. When he woke up, he found two small bodies. The legend was that during certain parts of the year, the people would bloom from these trees. Well, the bodies he found were very small and shriveled. It looked as though they were plucked from their heads. What he found resembled the legend. The people were kind of like plants because they grew on trees. When he took the bodies to be investigated, researchers were baffled because there were 2 distinct bodies. The only thing they were missing were bones. Other than that, all the features were prominent. The researchers tested the tissue of the bodies and found them to match those of plants. I don't remember what the legend was called. It's really bothering me now. Does anyone know the name of the legend or heard of it?
