ok,see, I want to be a civil engineer,buildings and bridges are my passion.My dream is to design buildings and bridges but my big problem is that I hate to work outdoor,I like the work in office with air conditionated and well dressed.MY BIG QUESTION IS:does civil engineers have to be outside in the project all day or they only oversee the construction project sometimes.I don't want to be in the project the whole day.....My great enemy is the sun and the heat so please tell me what do you think.THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP.

If you become civil engineer, then you have to be outside only/ some times if you take care of drawings or Consultant oriented job, then 20% outside work will be there/

I know of civil engineers who work the vast majority of their time in suits in air conditioned offices. Probably though they grounded their careers in early extended spells of site work. There is no substitute for a thorough understanding of what goes on at a site. You could consider doing site work somewhere with a coolish climate?

Why don't you go for Architect instead of civil engineering?
