At school we have this retarded teacher.. Well anyways she gave our class a project to do, "Design a toy boat to sink in exactly 60 seconds."
Tomorrow: Monday, October 9th is when we have to turn in the design.... And Wednesday, October the 11th we have to present it to the class and show that our design works... But since I'm working alone... I would really appreciate some help...
Thanx..

I read somewhere that time does not pass for photons as they are travelling at the speed of light. So, although they may have travelled for a million years across space, as far as the photon is concerned no time has passed. How does that work then? Are there any interesting implications of this? Many thanks

My mother has a newspaper delivered everyday. When she's finished with it she tears it up into little pieces and scatters them in the garden. I'm not convinced that this is very eco-friendly, but when I ask her to stop she says it's the only way to discourage the elephants from walking through the garden on their way to the fridge they want to climb into.

Now, I can't really argue with her because I've never seen an elephant in either the garden or the fridge or even any evidence like droppings or footprints in the butter.

But why does it work?
