Gold, silver, copper, iron (from meteors) and mercury can all be found in their "native states".

From what I learnt in A level chemistry, all discovered metals are found naturally, however their reactivity determines the purity in which you find them - so for example most answers here suggest you would find silver and gold and this is because they are fairly unreactive, therefore when you find them they are in highly pure and recognisable states. More reactive metals such as iron are found in ore which through processes can be purified. Some elements are very hard to find as they are unstable in molecular structure. The discovery of all elements (whether found pure or in compound) is summarised in the periodic table. Hope this helps with reactivity of metals.

ALL.

Metals, by their very nature occur naturally. If it is in the periodic table of elements, they occur naturally.

Some combine with other metals to form - what is called - ores or oxides, or chlorides.

If you are studying chemistry, it is an exciting area to learn how to extract those metals from their ore.

It is also a branch of science taught under Metallurgical Engineering. Another one Mining Engineering, is slightly different but it requires the basic knowledge of metallurgy.

Go for it. Chemistry touches your everyday life in every which way. Just look around - and you will agree with me. Chemistry is an exciting branch of science.
