it would be a breakthrough if possible, we wouldn't need pathetic batteries anymore. you could have an electric station and beam electrons to various objects for operation- cars in particlar. woulnd tneed fossil fiels either.

Ok. So there are a hundred lockers in a school. One hundred kids. The first kid comes and opens all the lockers. Then, a second kid closes every other one. Then a third kid changes every third locker. Like if it was open, you would close it, closed, you would open it... Then the fourth kid changes every fourth locker like the third kid only every fourth one. then the fifth kid cames and he changes every fifth one. Get it? Go on until you get to the hundreth kid. There are ten lockers open. Which ten lockers are open? Hint: one of them is the first locker. If you don't understand im me at katiekay@verizon.net. not jerry.

[(1) - (25/x^2)] / [(1) - (8/x) + (15/x^2)]

the instructions are to "perform the indicated operations"
the answer is supposed to be:
(x+5)/(x-3)
I can't figure out how to get there.

Just been viewing some of the Apollo landings footage...
There was a sequence where the craft took off from the moon,
and the camera on the buggy filmed it,
I saw a Flash of Flame coming from beneath the rocket as it seperated from the lander and went space wards.
If there is no air out in space, how can there be any sort of flash,
Anyone got a view on this

A space traveller loked down at the Earth and said "Hey, there's a hell of a lot of squabbling going on down there, maybe we should visit some other time when it's peaceful?" His co-pilot said "Maybe you're right. What date should I put in the diary?".

I once had a t-shirt that read: Better living through chemistry -
C H O Co La Te (numbers 6,1,8,27,57,52 on the periodic table respectively). Got any other good ones to share? Come on and make it a game. The best one gets 10 points ;)

Ok, I know this isn't exactly a chemistry question, but I know you all have a better chance at knowing the periodic table and you have a unique sense of humor.

A spy satellite is in circular orbit around Earth. It makes one revolution in 6.03 hours. (Radius of the Earth=6.371 106 m)

(a) How high above Earth's surface is the satellite?

(b) What is the satellite's acceleration?

Without the correct asnwer to part A, i cannot get part b done.

The equation we were given is

r (height) = (G Me / w^2) ^1/3

i guess the question i have is, how to find w.
i took the gravitational constant of the earth, the mass of the earth, but the w (angular acceleration?) i cannot figure out.

thanks for the help.
