Wow! better ignore the first two answers!!
3/2 into 4...
this is 4 divided by 3/2.. so you flip the 3/2 and multiply instead...
is 4/(3/2) = 4 * (2/3) = (4*2)/3 = 8/3

I believe that you want 4 divided by (3/2). If that is the case, flip (3/2) so that it becomes (2/3) and multiply them. If you mean (3/2) divided BY 4, then it is (3/2) divided by (4/1), which is (3/2) multiplied by (1/4). That gives you (8/3) or (2u2/3) for the first one and (3/8) for the second.
Hope that helps!

You multiply it by the reciprocal of 4 which would look like 3/2 * 1/4=3/8

by applying the rule of division of fraction:
(3/2) / (4/1) : we considered 1 as the denominator of every whole number
then get the reciprocal of the fraction on the right(always):
(3/2) / (1/4),
proceed to multiplication process:
(3/2) x (1/4) = (3 x 1) / (2 x 4)
so, (3/2) / (4) = (3/8)

You said divide (3/2) into 4
So need to invert (3/2) and multiply by 4
(2/3) * 4
So the answer is 8/3
