I have some questions to answer about it for school, and I found some of them, but there are two that I can't find in my notes or text books. Could you please help me?
-A few alpha particles were deflected. What does this evidence suggest about the structure of gold atoms?
-How should the original model be revised based on the results of this experiment?
Any help is appreciated!!

I need to know this for school work. I wrote 'Atoms must absorb energy to become excited. They can't remain in the excited state, so they immediatley return to the ground state. When they do this, they emit energy as light.', but I didn't mention anything about energy transitions. is this answer correct or not? Can you help me please?

a) If x < 4, then |8 - 2x| = 8 – 2x.

b) For all x, ln e^x = x.

c) For all x > 0, |x|/x^3 = 1/x^2 .

d) For all x < 0, |x|/x^3 = -1/x^2 .

e) At least one of the above statements is false.

NOTE: People sometimes squawk at (e). But if all of (a), (b), (c), and (d) are true, isn't (e) false? And similarly, if one of the first four is false, then (e) is true, isn't it?
