That's pretty tricky, considering that "thermometer" means any device that tells you the temperature, not just commercially produced tools. I'd suggest starting with a qualitative assessment. Is it warm or is it cold? If it's cold, try placing a glass of water in the room. If it freezes, it's below freezing, 32 degrees Fahrenheit. If it's warm, try placing some caesium in the room. Caesium melts at 83 F, so that will tell you if you're above or below that temperature. Apart from that, just obtain samples of as many different substances with known melting or evaporation temperatures, and see which ones change their phase. That will help you narrow down the temperature range in the room, until it's precise enough for your requirements.

Easy. I've always been able to differentiate between temperatures easily. At some point I even guessed temperatures at a .5 accuracy. Not that I was always right, but enough anyway.
Of course it gets tricky if it gets colder than 8 degrees or hotter than 28.

once you adjust the water for the tanks, deliver the pail of previous water with you to everywhere you get water on. turn it on, stick one finger into your tank and one under the flow of water. Then purely experience no count if the water is around the same temperature. people can experience temperature interior a million or 2 degree accuracy. you do not would desire to "understand" what 10C sounds like, you purely would desire to make valuable that the temperature of the water you upload in is related to comparable to what's interior the tank. in case you prefer to renowned what temperatures "experience" like, it is going to take prepare. no person expects you to bounce into the keep and magically "understand" what the temperature of the water you're touching is. Use the heater to heat up your tank by potential of 1C each and every time? ... The thermometers promises you diverse readings 'cos your paper one is examining the temperature outdoors the tank and your glass one is examining the temperature interior the tank. they don't bypass "undesirable" yet they'll ruin in case you wreck it. digital ones tend to be greater precise.

Room temperature is not easy to gess. However out side temperature is easier to determine. The Globe is warming due to pollution and also be cause of the precession of the poles.
so if you you have an outdoor temperature that can roast a turkey you know its hot. The human body is programmed to sense temperature and responds to it and there is a temperature which will cause to sweat and one that would give you goose pimples.
