A QUANTUM its the smallest fundamental unit of a physical magnitude. And every other quantity for that magnitude forms by multiplying the quantum with an entire number.

For example electric charge quantum is an electron. So an oxygen quantum, will be a SINGLE atom of oxygen.Because N numbre of atoms could form a molecule, and so on.

I don't know if i made myself clear but English is not my native language so excuse my poor grammar.

An atom of Oxygen could be considered to be a single quantum because an atom is the smallest "piece" of a chemical element that can exist. If you broke the atom apart it would no longer be Oxygen.
