Does anyone remember a wolf documentary about 3 wolf pups that were integrated into an existing pack. The female pup eventually became the alpha female after spending sometime as the omega wolf. I saw it on a British tv channel.

To qualify for a promotion, a tech company requires employees to pass a screening test. A max of 3 attempts are allowed within 6 month interval between trials. From past records it is found that 40% pass on first try, of those that fail the first trial & take a second time, 60% pass and 20% pass wth a third trial. For an employee wishing to transfer:
1. What is the probability of passing the test on the first or 2nd try?
2. what is the probability of failing on the first 2 trials & passing on the 3rd?
3. What is the probability of failing on all 3 attempts?

With all this nuclear talk in the mid east I was thinking about the waste. The question that came to my mind is "What waste?". I have just finished reading Wikipeida on this and still do not have a clear understanding.

If this "waste" is so radio active, why then aren't we using it to generate electricty? Might need a different reactor than the first, but that would be ok.

So wuz up with this? Burying it or turning it into tank ammo does not make sense to me. Isn't there any type of reactor that can take this waste and generate electricty?

TIA

How feasable would it be to build a flotilla of robotic vehicles and send them to the Ort cloud to pick up ice (comets) and guide them to crash in Venus? Assuming that only a small amount of energy is required to push an ice chunk out of its orbit out there.
