To convert C to F, you divide by 5, multiply by 9 and add 32 to the total.

This 200 C is 9*(200/5) + 32 = 392 F

I always forget the formulas to convert the temperatures. But i do know that Fahrenheit is always larger then centigrade temps.

0 C' = 32 F'

100 C' = 212 F' etc.

Remembering this i use three rules to do the conversions.

Step # 1
add 40 to the value you want to convert

Step # 2
multiply by a fraction 9/5 OR 5/9
if your going to F' use the larger fraction. if your going to C' use the smaller fraction.

Step # 3
Subtract 40
************************************************************

here is an example

convert 200 C' to ? F'

Step # 1
200
+40
-------
240

Step # 2
take 240 multiply by 9/5 = 432

Step # 3
take 432 and subtract 40 = 392

200 C' = 392 F'

************************************************************

example # 2

98.6 F' = ? C'

Step #1

98.6 + 40 = 138.6

Step #2

138.6 times 5/9 = 77

Step # 3

77 - 40 = 37

98.6 F' = 37 C'

i hope this helps you. if you remember the three rules you'll never have a problem in doing these conversions.

There are two precise answers there -- 392°F. However, most ovens aren't that finely graduated, so you'd probably end up using 400°F.
