I am always having these dreams of a little girl in my house, trying to communicate with me. I have also heard of ghost stories about how they exist, etc. So, here I am, asking, "Should We Be Afraid of Ghosts? Do They Even Exist?".

OK. I'm no physicist, but the formula and the physical evidence somehow don't add up.

Most sources indicate that the photon is "massless" (M=0). A table in Zukov's "Dancing Wu Li Masters", compiled by Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, adds graviton, electron neutrino and muon nutrino to the list of M=O particles. Well, if in these cases M=0, applying the simple math of the E=MC2 formula, E (not C?) would ALSO equal 0 for these particles. However, for the photon, at least, clearly there IS some energy involved.

So ... is there any conventional explanation for this apparent contradiction ?

Any professional physicists out there with a ready answer?

I was vacationing there recently, and I saw a few. Anyone know how they got there? My theories are that someone brought them over to be hunted, they were already there when the island broke off, or they swam. Anyone know for sure?

Science is coming up fast, they are experimenting with genitc codes, could this be a problem, what do you think....Scientist are messing with a perfectly beautiful plan that has been in the making for millions of years......Thinking about them making all humans bio-gentically engineerd is kind of scary, if they over look a problem in this proscess where they are really looking at genes that fight dieases what if they over look something that might cause it while preventing another, what if that dieases is a million times worse than what they prevented....I think that what will happen is scienctist will end up ruining this world, what do u think....We are messing with something we dont know nothing about, and no matter how much we think we know, we wont know enough to ever be safe.....What are ur opinions.....

Hi, I'm a math student. I'm having trouble with this problem. If someone could help explain the problem, I'd really appreciate it. The answers are given below.

Find the expression for the unit vector tangential to the curve given in cylindrical coordinates by (r^2)sin [2(phi)] = 1, z = 0. Then obtain the unit vectors tangential to the curve at the points: a) (1, pi/4, pi/2) b) (1, pi/2, pi)

Answer: +-(cos 2(phi) ar - sin 2(phi) ap); a) +-ap; b) +-((3^(1/2))/2 ar - (1/2) ap))
Thank You

Note: ar = unit vector of in radial direction. ap = unit vector in phi direction. +- means plus or minus
