If there is a room of 20 people what is the probability that at least two of them will share the same bday? I know that i can do 364/365 * 363/365, etc... and then subtract that answer from one (to find the complement). However, my calculator will not show such large numbers. Can i some how use factorials to figure this out? I don't know how to make it stop after about 19 or 20 numbers though. I don't want 364!

Any simple way to figure out this prob would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

According to: http://www.woodalls.com/cforum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/14872995.cfm
it is supposed to be true that:

Nitrogen is a totally inert gas and does not expand or contract with temperature.
So if your tires were inflated to their proper inflation
pressure at installation, say 100 psi, then they will
be 100 psi at 30 degrees and 100 psi at 115 degrees.
The added bonus with Nitrogen is there is no moisture
in your tires."

3 people need to share a room for the night. Motel owner says the cost is $30. Each person pays $10. Later, owner realizes he should've only charged $25. He sends his son to the room with 5 $1 bills. Son can't figure how to divide $5 three ways, so he gives each person $1 making their net cost $9 each and pockets the $2. Question: 3X$9=$27 + $2 boy pockets = $29. What happened to the other $1?

“The best data we have [on the big bang] is exactly what I would have predicted had I nothing to go on but…the Bible as a whole.” – Arno Penzias, Nobel Prize winning co-discoverer of background radiation

If you read Genesis, it states the exact order things would have had to occur in the process of the Big Bang. It's funny that an author got it right 7,00 years ago.

The problem is that entropy and the state of order rely on chance. Chance alone is not enought to produce complex organisms. But is it plausible that chance was not a forcless entity? Is it possible the order that existed an a magnitude much greater than we know it in our universe today could have began with a touch of force from a higher intelligence?Could creationism and the Big Bang theory exist together, imporving the likelyhood of a creator?

Considering Earth did form despite the odds against it, wouldn't it be possible that another animal on the other side of the world developed at least some intelligence and became capable of speach of some sort? I mean if you believe everything happened by chance, rather than being set into motion by some intelligent force.

The big bang theory states that the process began with a huge explosion of light, and then different building blocks came together to form matter. It also says that if the explosion had sent the masses traveling 1/100 of a percent faster, the energy would not have had time to form matter under gravity. If it had occured 1/100 of a percent slower, it would have collapsed under it's own gravity and nothing would have come of it.

Earth is exactly in the right position, posture, and location, it is exactly the right size and it orbits around the most perfect star to support life. It formed from random gas clouds coming together and collapsing into a ball of mass.
