Have Tsetse flies evolved to develop an instinct to recognize human's with weapons like newspapers/magazines?

I have this stupid fly bothering the hell out of me and everythime I put the magazine in my hand, it flies off and hides. What the hell???

Yeah whatever it was a common house fly. Musca domestica Linnaeus not Tse Tse. my bad.

No. They are just born with an aversion to fly swatters and newspapers. LOL

Unless you live in Africa it's not a Tse Tse fly.
It's probably a Blue Bottle Fly.
If you had as many eyes as him you would see things coming at you too.
