I think the chicken evolved from something else (or God created the chicken), and the chicken was made to then reproduce. And then from the reproduction came the egg. Because you see, a egg can come from a chicken, but an egg cannot be created without a chicken. A chicken can evolve from other animals, but it cannot come from an egg originally.

In the Theory of Evolution, the egg came first.
The animal that came before the chicken lay the egg. The egg was either mutated(DNA wise) or had adapted to the environment. The chicken then hatched. So, the egg came first. The chicken came last.

Evolution is the description of how new species arise from other species. The answer is that the egg is the place where the mutations occur when something evolves. The chicken evolved from another similar animal and the first "real chicken" came from the "first real chicken egg" which was produced by a "non-chicken".

They co-developed at the same time. Originally, half a billion years ago, eggs didn't have a hard cover and were water bound. Eventually over millions and millions of years as animals moved onto dry land, the eggs developed hard, waterproof shells. That's how land reptiles reproduced. Eventually the large dinosaurs were killed off approximately 65 million years ago by what scientists think was a asteroid impacting around the Yacatan pennisula. Smaller, more adaptable reptiles survived (as so did the mammals that became us) and eventually evolved into birds and kept the hard shelled eggs as a means to reproduce.

The egg did come before the chicken. The question does not specify that it was a chicken's egg; it only says "egg." Therefore, it can be assumed to be a snake egg, fish egg, even dinosaur egg, all of which existed before the chicken.

No. The chicken came first since it had to be created. Then the chicken laid the egg. Got it?

No ... what laid the egg? The question needs to be way more complicated to identify the circumstances ... define "egg" for instance - is a cell and egg?
BTW it is not logical to keep posting the same question.

you asked the question 2 times. No i think the chiken. because if you listen to the bible it basicly says that everything was created as it is now. (i think) but if you listen to the most muslums and all the librals and atheists and all those other stupid bitches then neither, it was some weird different thing and due to evelution it then became the chicken after evolving.
