Trying to Conceive - October 2007

How many kids do would you have before you think you've had too many? Or how many would be too many to have?

I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago now. I ended up getting pregnant. I was scarred because I have these tight pains in my stomach all the time.

Anyway I got to 18 weeks and had major pains it turns out my stomach wasn't stretching like it should so my Doc said I should get an abortion ASAP because maybe something wasnt done correctly. So I did because of the pain. This was 6 months ago.

My question is do you think I could ever carry a baby again let alone concieve. Do you know any1 who was able to get pregnant after a late abortion? Or pregnant after a tummy tuck.

I've tried to gain weight to strech my tummy out and pray I will be blessed to carry again 1 day.

I just started using these sticks- started testing on day 10 of cylcle, per the instructions. Today is day 14, and the test line shows up, but the LH surge line isn't there at all- it's not light, it's missing. Is this meaningful, or is no line the same as a light line?

I know I need a dark line to show the surge, just wondering if the lack of a line is telling me something, or if I can ignore it.

i dont know if im pregnant or not i havent had my period since august 26,2007... iv been constipated for like maybe almost two weeks now... my breast hurt so bad they have never felt like this before... usaully before my period starts my face breaks out and my tommy cramps and my nipples get tender.... but i havent experienced any of that in a while! well the other day my stomach started to cramp real bad but i got no period.... somone please respond im really really worried...

My husband and I have decided we are both ready to start a family. However, there are two reasons why I am a little scared that maybe I can't.

1 - I rarely played it safe. With boyfriends in high school/college we rarely used a condom and just did the pull out method. My husband and I have been married three years now and have only used the pull out method. I now look back on this and wonder how I managed to never get pregnant. Just lucky? But who is that lucky?

2 - When I first started having a period (age 12) they were 6 - 7 days long. Eventually that went down to 5 days long, and now for the past 3 years my periods are practically non-exsistant. They only last 2 days, with light spotting on the 3rd. Is my fertility disappearing as my period gets shorter and shorter???

Background info: Age 26, exercise regularly, does not smoke or drink. I do have a stressful job though (military).

Any words of wisdom is greatly appreciated.

This is my plan. I'm 24 now. I've had a few little "flings" in my life, dated around and had one BIG relationship that lasted nearly 4 yrs.
In recent yrs tho, I have found myself up a brick wall with the guys I tend to meet.
No, really... they drive me crazy. All they want is sex and I mean sex only. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite the tiggress once settled & happy but... I am just not into random sex.
Well, I have set it in my mind that when I reach bout 28-34 if I haven't found someone suitable & serious, I'm going to save up, get well settled, find a good doc and do Artificial Insemanation.
I just don't want to go my whole life without having at least 1 child.
I'll take him/her to museums & librarys & art galleries & broadway shows. Make sure he or she will get THE best in education & life.
Oppz! Was I going off into dream land there for a moment?

My question is, what is the risk and drawbacks i'm not seeing? Only an outsider can answer this. I'm too involved maybe to see.

So my last period started on Sept 8th. I got positive OPKs on Sept 21 and 22 . So ovulation was probably around Sept 22 or 23. We BDed almost every day around that time. My period was due Oct 8 again. It has not come but on the 7th I used a first response test and got a negative. Used another Thursday at 330am and it was negative too. But still no period. The only symptom Ive had is that my skin broke out really bad. And it sounds wierd, but I am usually sick to my stomach a lot. I have to watch what I eat bc everything makes me sick usually. But lately I have felt fine. I feel a little sick to my stomach in the AM but then Im fine. That is not normal for me.
Do you think I could be pregnant and its just too early to test? My mother was 9wks w my brother and it would not show up on a pee test.....

my husband and i are trying for our first child, last month i stopped the pill right after my period b/c we were ttc, i got my period 6 days ago, it finished today, how long will it take for me to get pregnant after stopping the pill??? and when is the best time to concieve???

You probably don't want to marry. Is it really bad to have children out of wedlock? Would you do it? Have you done it?

I want to have another baby. However, the man that I am with is NOT my husband... and probably will never be my husband.


I do have two children from my first marriage. But I really don't think I want to marry again.

My las period was sept 29 and yesterday octuber 11 I had sex with my husband and he came inside of me(sperma). So can I get pregnant. We didn't use anything ( proteccion ). I am regular.

When i first began menstruation at the age of 13, my cycle was never regular unless i was on the pill. i started taking BC when i was 16 to prevent pregnancy. okay. i went off the birth control pill in september of 2006 because i wanted to get pregnant. i didn't get my period for 6 months after that, and finally went to the doctor. he prescribed me provera in order to get my period and maybe get my cycle back. i also got bloodwork done and my thyroid came back normal along with everything else.

i started taking the provera at the end of march and got my period april 12th. then i got my period again may 14th, june 16th, and july 11th.

july 11th is the last time i saw my period.

i don't know what to do! i'm ttc so i don't want to go back on the pill, but if everything is coming back normal then i don't know what is going on. should i maybe try provera again to get myself started again?

is there any medication that will make me regular without protecting me from pregnancy?

Yesterday I had a dip in my temperature. Today I have a .55 degree rise. My OPK isn't even giving a faint line anymore. I haven't had a positive OPK yet, but the day before yesterday was the darkest.

Also, my cervix was high yesterday and somewhat soft, today it was really low, but firm.

Does it look like I ovulated? Any input is appreciated. Also, If you think I did ovulate, what do you think my chances are according to when I had sex?

Hey ladies, I am hoping my pg tests come out pos. Ive been trying soo hard. If I am not, I wont know what to do with myself. I will try not to stress so much this next month but i'll try everything. My question to you all is do any of you have any successfull stories on how you got pg? I mean, have any tricks, or seriously anything that really did and could help me get pg! I know when I ovulate and will do the baby dance every chance but I will take anyones tips and advice of things I can try. Seriously!, weird, strange, silly, nasty, un heard of, I dont care!! i'll try them, that's how much I want to have a baby!! I've heard of the elevating my hips afterwards and I did that over an hour each time just to make sure!! I really hope I am pg but im so nervous that i'll be dissapointed. My husband and I have been trying for a baby over a year now and I just ended my second cycle of clomid a couple days ago. I just tested today and I am ovulating. We had sex last night and going to do the baby dance again tonight. Has anyone or known anyone that has gotten pregnant after their second cycle of clomid????? Also do I maybe have a better chance of conceiving since we had sex last night? I started to get that cm yesterday afternoon so i knew i was ovulating or about to. I have had one other child and i have heard that clomid works faster for those that have had a baby already. Please any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

i have pcos, have been trying for 7 years to get pregnate but couldn't. on my first three cycles of clomid @ 50 mg on days 3-7 i didn't ovulate went back to doctor after 6 months he increased my dosge to 100mg on day 3-7 and on my second month i got pregnate i am still in shock right now!!
but never give up hope i did just when i toke the last pregnacy test of my life there is was positive

We had an ectopic pregnancy back in Feb. 2007, than last month we had a miscarriage. I have had one cycle since than. Here the thing.. my doctor said I have low progesterone and didn’t offer anything. So I’m going to go see a nothing doctor and see what he says, anyone went on to have a fine pregnancy with low progesterone? What did they offer you? And how soon did you get pregnant?

Our best friends just had a baby yesterday. IM soo happy for her, and excited to get to hold him and spend time with him. But it makes me so upset because this is the time when we were due to have our 1st baby. My husband was so happy and cant wait to have one and wants me to get on meds ASAP. But what happens if I cant have a baby? I would feel terrible, I know he wouldn’t care, but I want more than anything and him to, to have a baby. What did you do to get over your loss?

I have pcos, n both of my ovaries are filled with small cycts. I am not ovulating on my owns, and my cycles WERE extremely long, (48,56,68), this is my 1st month on Metformin and now my cycle is 30days (which I am so happy of), I am ttc#1

I wanted to no, how hard would it be for me to conceive on Metformin with alot of small cycts covering the ovaries?

How would the egg be release if the cycts is blocking it?

If I am taking clomid 100mg and my CM is hosticle should I drop back to 50mg, and do you think I stand a better chance taking the 50mg with metformin?

My dr wants me to stay on clomid but I don't want to because it would be my 5th cycle on it, and I have not ovulated since I was on it, so I don't want it to interfere with the metformin

When do you experience implantation bleeding?
I am having mild lite cramps and light brown AF and my breast are still sore, tender, and my nipples are also hard so how long should this be going on, because I thought pms goes away

Yesterday he was watching this movie about a married couple trying to concieve and they had been trying for 4 years with no luck and they finally got pregnant.....the wife was telling the husband and the husband was crying and sooooo excited and my husband started crying?!?!?! It's not like him to cry over a movie...we have been ttc # 2 but only for 4 months....what do you guys think is going on with him????? Thanks...

i want to take birth control because i'm in the process of losing weight and i don't want to get pregnant until i'm at my goal.....BUT....i want it to stop working as soon as i stop taking in like the pill but i don't want the pill cause i'm to ditzzy to remember to take it but i don't want it to have lasting effect like the depo shot. any ideas?

So I am going to start taking clomid on Friday to stimulate ovulation. I will take it until Tuesday. I am suppose to get Flu shot monday. Is it ok to get the shot if I am taking this medicine?
