My husband and I have been trying for a baby over a year now and I just ended my second cycle of clomid a couple days ago. I just tested today and I am ovulating. We had sex last night and going to do the baby dance again tonight. Has anyone or known anyone that has gotten pregnant after their second cycle of clomid????? Also do I maybe have a better chance of conceiving since we had sex last night? I started to get that cm yesterday afternoon so i knew i was ovulating or about to. I have had one other child and i have heard that clomid works faster for those that have had a baby already. Please any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

The best way to conceive is to watch your body with many ways to see when you ovulate. First you can track your cycle on line with a free calender using www.babyhopes.com If you have an average 28 day cycle then you would more then likely ovulate 14 days after the first day of your last period. Also you can track your basal body temp. Every morning wake up and take your temp before you get out of bed and write it down. A day or so before ovulation there will be a slight spike in temps. Also you can watch cervical mucus also known as discharge. A few days before ovulation it will become somewhat clear and stretchy. Similar to a raw egg white. And last lastly buy a home ovulation predictor kit. They are very accurate. Then around the time of ovulation for at least 5 days before and 3 days after have sex every other day to allow the sperm to get stronger. After sex lay on your back with a pillow under your hips which allows the sperm to pool against your cervix.

My fertility doc recommends not to have sex every day during ovulation. It tends to use up all the mature sperm right away. He suggested doing it every other day for a week during ovulation and do it missionary style or doggie style for best position for sperm to swim. Also, don't go potty for 30 min after sex. Some think propping your butt in the air works too, but I think that's just superstition........but if it works!! :)
PLUS.........have fun. Try not to stress out. That can really affect whether you get pg or not.
