I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago now. I ended up getting pregnant. I was scarred because I have these tight pains in my stomach all the time.

Anyway I got to 18 weeks and had major pains it turns out my stomach wasn't stretching like it should so my Doc said I should get an abortion ASAP because maybe something wasnt done correctly. So I did because of the pain. This was 6 months ago.

My question is do you think I could ever carry a baby again let alone concieve. Do you know any1 who was able to get pregnant after a late abortion? Or pregnant after a tummy tuck.

I've tried to gain weight to strech my tummy out and pray I will be blessed to carry again 1 day.

This does not sound right. Even with a tummy tuck your skin should be able to stretch with a pregnancy. You need to get a second opinion. I feel bad that you terminated your pregnancy. I have never heard a woman cannot have children after such a surgery- in fact I know a women who had babies after a tummy tuck. Please go to a diferent OB Gyn doctor and get a second opinion/

I need to have a tummy tuck, but have made the decision to wait until after I have had all my kids, I have 2 and ttc my third and final. What you have described is my concern and why I didn't get it done before hand. You need to seek out a specialist and see what they recommend. You should be able to conceive again, it is more to do with the skin stretching on your belly to accommodate your growing uterus that is the issue. Please see a Doctor or at least the plastic surgeon who did the tummy tuck and get their advise.
Good luck.

i think this is very serious
you have every right to go talk to a lawyer
and yes i know my sisters and cousins have had miscarriage to abortions and got pregnant very easily
this may not be the case with you every female is different
but i will say i had an abortion once in my life
i was very young and i couldn`t handle being pregnant and
well alot of reasons any way i explained to my doctor i am planning on having a baby some time in the future between the ages of 32 and 38 i talked to him then i went in and got a cleanse they go in and clean your tubes and put dye in them and do lyposcopic surgery if there are any cysts or what ever
so that helped me be regulated monthly
i also got put on the pill called Yasmin it clears my face and helps me lose some weight i am in a much better mood
so maybe you can ask your doctor some of these questions
see what he says
good luck

I'm confused as to why the tummy tuck is even in question ... but they're tucking your tummy - or rather, the fat on your tummy right? or making your stomach smaller by doing stapling? It shouldn't even effect your uterus... and well, skin stretches regardless, I'm wondering why a tummy tuck would have any effect on an expanding uterus.

I am confused here . why would you have a tummy tuck when there was a chance you would still have a baby. I would have to doubt it could stretch that far to accommodate a baby other wise they would not have told you to have an abortion.

You should probably talk to the doctor that did your tummy tuck for you.

this is a question for ur doctor, not on here. like every medical problem, urs is a unique one, we do not know every detail pertaining to ur problem, so the majority of the answers u will get on here will not be accurate.
