What really does increase your chances is timing sex a few days before ovulation so that the Y sperm die off before the egg is released. The X sperm live longer. I used this timing method and got a girl with my first pregnancy. My doctor told me there is research behind this, it's called the Shettles method. You have to know when you ovulate though, and have sex 4 and 3 days before it, and then abstain for the next 4 days.

I hate the idea of choosing the sex of a child, it takes all the fun out of it!
However when you only want two children and you already have 1 boy its usual to want to conceive a girl

I went onto the chinese gender prediction on google search and it says the best months to conceive at certain ages to get certain sex babies!

Im supposed to conceive between NOV 07-JAN 08 for a BOY and before and beyond would be a girl. This is based on my maternal age which is 30 (its +2 years from your actual age) (Im 28).

Enjoy.

I firmly believe the sex of your baby depends when in your cycle you actually conceive.I followed this with each of my 3 pregnancies.Whether it was good luck or good management I got what I hoped for each time. For a girl i attempted to conceive around day 12-14. However I would only try for a baby knowing I would have been happy whatever the outcome.

I read that the boy sperm swim faster but dont live as long, whereas girl sperm swim slower but live longer so for a girl you should try missionary position and avoid deep penetration and do it 2-4 days before ovulation, you can buy ovulating kits to find out when you're ovulating.
Good luck

I dont know. I have 2 boys and I can't remember that far back. However I cycle every 25 days so I was told my ovulation was around day 11-12 so with my last one we wanted another boy so we had sex on day 12!!!!!!!!!!! and it was a girl!
So now I dont believe any of that stuff!

it's more to do with timing in the cycle: the closer you do it to ovulation, the more likely you are to have a boy. If you have sex a few days before, it's more likely you have a girl. Boy sperm give up and die off quicker, typical!! ;-)

There is a scientific explanation for this, but I have no idea as to a link. Sorry!

Google the 'Shettles Method'.
If you pin point ovulation and have sex 2-3 days before it not on. This is the sperm which determines a female last longer than the faster male swimmer.

go to google and type in trying to concieve a girl and you will get some free info online.. men with lower sperm counts have girls, i know to have a boy the man should drink cola or caffeine and this helps the male sperm so try to get your partner to refraim from caffeine to have a girl and have intercourse 3 days before you ovulate.
