It will depend on genetics.
If chin dimples are recessive it is unlikely that your child will have one too UNLESS you carry an unexpressed copy of the gene. Do either of your parents have a chin dimple?
If it is a dominant gene you could either have a child with a dimple or a child who carries the gene and could pass it on to their children.

I think the chances are 50 50 but i'm not sure. The main thing i reckon dimples are CUTE so dont worry about it too much...

I don't know what the actual odds are but my oh has a chin dimple and both our 2 sons have one :)
I should add that they look cute as hell :P

my husband and all of his family has a chin dimple. the second our daughter was born I asked if she had one too. She did and she does. It is very strong gene to pass.

I'm not sure. I don't know if it's a dominant or recessive gene. You made me think though because my husband has one but I never see it because he always has a beard or goatee. However our son does not have one in his chin, but does have one dimple in his left cheek. Curious.
