Trying to Conceive - September 2007

I have been trying to get pregnant, and every one keeps saying that it can take up to a year, and that it is hard to get pregnant, but I see so many other people that got pregnant when there were trying not to , and when they were even using protection. So it makes me wonder is it really that hard to get pregnant or are people just saying this to make me fell like I still have a chance?

I have always had very regular periods and got pregnant very easily the first time...now I am trying again, but I miss my periods (some as far as 50 days apart). I have never missed a period in my life! I have a dr. appointment in Oct. but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?? or if anyone knows what could cause this?

Hi,I am 26 yrs old and am trying to get pregnant .Me and my hubby started trying from last month...As of now.. the online ovulation calendar shows that i am most fertile from Sep 29-Oct 2...i have a doubt...on these days.. should we have sex in the mornings or at nights.... Which has more chances of getting pregnant ASAP? Can any one help me in clearing my doubt!

The last year my partner and i have gained weight @ 5'5" im 150 and my partner is 5'9" is 215... would this play a part for us not getting pregnant we been trying for 4 months but nothing? does anyone have any advice?

I have a friend who is breastfeeding. She told me that she and her husband had unprotected sex right around the time she was ovulating. She had all of the signs of ovulating (she didn't know this at the time), but she still hasn't gotten her pp period. Her little boy is 11 months old.

She said that day after the unprotected sex, she started cramping, but it was mild. That went on for about 2 days and hardly noticable.

RIght now really isn't a good time for her to become pregnant and she is really scared that she is. I told her that breastfeeding isn't a 100% effective form of bc and that she should test in about a month. What do you think her chances of becoming pregnant are? Experiences?

My last period started Aug 9th and I'm currently 10 days past from what should have been my the start of my next period. I haven't taken a home pregnancy test yet because I'm wanting to find out if it is common to have a late or missed period after you stop taking clomid. The last round of clomid that I took was in July.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. I think I MAY be pregnant. I had to come home from work today because I felt cramps all through my thighs and lower back and I felt like a tonne weight in my arms and legs, I kept yawning (since 11am!) and just felt rotten and SHATTERED!. I had enough sleep! My period is due Friday and I NEVER get cramping until they actually start and they are like clockwork. I am 33. I had a stinging/burning/tingly sensation in my nipples for around half and hour last night. (I had the same feelings last time I was pregnant (but miscarried)). I tested this morning (4days before period) and it was negative. I really dont know what to think. Suggestions woudl be appreciated. thanks in advance.

I know that Provera is not used anymore to determine if a woman is pregnant or not (bleeds if not pregnant, doesn't bleed if pregnant) because of the side effects on the babies.
My doctor put me on Provera 10mg from CD 16-25 to regulate a hormonal imbalance (LH, I think, though I menstruate every month - something to do with me bleeding midcycle). She said to do this for 3 cycles. I am on my 3rd cycle on Provera. I just counted - DH and I baby-danced just about mid-cycle. Am just worried. What if, just what if, there's a little one, won't the Provera harm her/him?
I am apprehensive about asking my doctor since we had a false alarm - false positive, with the delayed menses and what we thought were early pregnancy symptoms - few months back (about 3 months ago to be exact).

And I am feeling rather depressed about it. We have been trying for a year to become pregnant and the Dr. basically told me my only option is Clomid or in-vitro at a later date. I feel sad and angry. I am scared to take Clomid because of the high rate of multiples.

I have 2 biological kids ages 5 and 7, then I also have custody of a 15yr. old. I have always dreamed of a big family I love kids!! My fiance has a good paying job but also has to pay child support for his 2 children ages 7 and 8. So my question is should I have more children? I dont believe in having your self fixed and not on bc due to the fact of it causeing miscarrages if you do concieve while on the pill. I figure if the Duggar family that has 17 kids can do it maybe I can. I just want someone outside the family to put there opinion in. THANKS

My boyfriend has a 9 month old son by his ex girlfriend. She got pregnant by him but yet I'm not getting pregnant? Is the problem with him or with me? Also, he asked me to marry him once before but I didn't think that he was serious about it so I pushed his hand away. He said that the time will come again when he will ask me but he hasn't asked me yet. When he asks me, should I say yes? But my mom will flip out if I tell her that I want a baby. She still thinks of me as her "little girl" when I'm not so little any more. So, if I go see a specialist as to why I am not getting pregnant should I do it behind my mom's back or should I be honest with her and take her along with me?

I have been ttc for 11 months now....I was on the pill for 5 years before this. In march I started to chart to see if my luteal phase was short. At that time I started taking B6, B12 and a B-complex to help lengthen it. In June I also started taking Vitex to supplement the B6. In august I had my first 28 day cycle since I went off the pills (the rest have been 24-26). My luteal phase in august was 14 days...the month before I think it was 12-13. Things looked very hopeful this month...I O'd day 14 with a little spotting (which they say means you're very fertile), I had a little spotting day 22, 24, and 26 and now AF is here today on day 27.

My question and my ultimate debate now is do I keep trying the B vitamins and Vitex or do I give my body a break and only take my prenatal (which I've also been taking all this time). I am going to the Gyno in Oct for my yearly and figured if I wasn't prego by then than I would talk w/ her about my options. I just don't know what to do now.

I still have no AF!! but negative HPT this morning. I am 11 dpo and cycle day 30 today. I have never been past day 30 or 11 dpo so I would assume if I get no AF today that I am pregnant. Do you think it is just too early to test? When should I call my doctor? My temp is still way above my coverline. I still am having some symptoms like last week and my face looks terrible and feel like I am getting a UTI. My husband also pointed out the last 2 nights I have been drooling, gross I know. He asked if that was a pregnancy symptom because I have never done that before. I read some peoples answers on here and some said they started drooling when pregnant. Would that effect a hpt? What are some things I can take for a UTI if I am pregnant? Heres my chart

I went to the doctor 3 days after I think I may have had implatiation bleeding , would the pregnacy hormone show that close it came back negative.
I am now having higher BBT for the past 6 days, about a week after the spotting the temperature rose. What do u think, preg?

Iv been for the x-ray today where they put dye through your tubes and everything seems fine and healthy. The dye went through which means not blockages!!!
I don't know what the Dr is going to do next, Im not ovulating so would i be given Clomide???
Any advice would be great

I really don't know what to do my sister and brother in-law have been trying for a year to have a baby without success. My sister is getting desperate now and she wants me to make her pregnant the natural way!

I was floored by the whole thing and said I am not sure if it was right? Should I help them out or tell them they need to find another sperm donner?

If it was a 1 time thing would that still be classed as incest considering this was excepetional circumstances to create a life?

Ok, me and my hubby have ttc for about 1 1/2 yrs. after the birth of our first child with no luck until now...I think. Well I am currently 4 days late and have breast tenderness. I took a Answer brand pg test and it came back positive w/ a very faint 2nd line, 2 lines meaning you're pregnant. I have never had a positive since we've been trying until now and I am sooo happy but should I be happy now or wait until a dr. confirms it???? Is the brand of test pretty accurate?? Thanks

I had BMS 5 times between the end of my last period and when I was supposed to start this month. I took a HPT three days before I was supposed to start because I just couldn't wait any longer to find out. Obviously, it was a BFN. Now I am really late with no sign of AF. But, my breasts are NOT tender AT ALL. I don't want to take another test and be disappointed again. Does it sound like I am pregnant even though I have no symptoms?
