I have been ttc for 11 months now....I was on the pill for 5 years before this. In march I started to chart to see if my luteal phase was short. At that time I started taking B6, B12 and a B-complex to help lengthen it. In June I also started taking Vitex to supplement the B6. In august I had my first 28 day cycle since I went off the pills (the rest have been 24-26). My luteal phase in august was 14 days...the month before I think it was 12-13. Things looked very hopeful this month...I O'd day 14 with a little spotting (which they say means you're very fertile), I had a little spotting day 22, 24, and 26 and now AF is here today on day 27.

My question and my ultimate debate now is do I keep trying the B vitamins and Vitex or do I give my body a break and only take my prenatal (which I've also been taking all this time). I am going to the Gyno in Oct for my yearly and figured if I wasn't prego by then than I would talk w/ her about my options. I just don't know what to do now.

The problem is you are trying to hard, honestly!!! You are putting stress on your body. When the body and mind is stressed, it is not going to conceive. Being pregnant is a stress on the body and it's not going to conceive if you are already stressed.

Here's what you can try:

Stop trying!!!! Stop counting!! Have sex whenever you and your partner feel like it, not because you think you might be ovulating. Doing all that takes all the fun and love out of making a baby and turns it into a chore!!

Try this for six months. If you still are not pregnant, then you will probably need help. Still keep your docs appointment in Oct for your check up. But you've been putting way too much stress and pressure on yourself and your partner. Just relax about. Most people say when they stop trying, that's when they get pregnant.

Good luck!!

well honestly in my opinion you are putting way too much into your body. All those vitamins you are taking are already in the prenatals not to mention they can be found naturally in a lot of foods. I would stop taking all that extra crap and stick with the prenatals only. Perhaps your body isn't ready for baby yet, your body will et you know when its ready. Keep trying but like the other girl said stop making this seem like a part time job. The stress alone will prevent you from getting pregnant.

I have been TTC #1 for almost 10.5 months. I'm not on prenatals or any other drugs as they aren't good for your body and my husband is under the impression that if you take anything that is not natural then that can give you cancer. Plus I'm not intrested in taking a bunch of pills and probably won't take any fertility drugs either. Of course we won't be going to the doctor for another year not until we go back home to Saudi Arabia. Plus I don't have health insurance either. Anyway just keep taking the prenatals.

If I have been you i might proceed to ttc, because it kind of feels like having a splash one is what you like maximum of all. i might pass decrease back to college on your Masters on the comparable time, by way of fact the distraction of learn may well be triumphant for keeping your techniques off ttc. in case you wind up getting pregnant, then you definately'll artwork out what to do re interpreting. If no longer, you will desire a Masters in coaching to coach for some time. better of success!
