Trying to Conceive - February 2007

My husband and I are ttc #1. This month we had sex once about 4 days before ovulation, once the day before, and then the day of. I used an ovulation predictor as well as preseed. For about 3 days my nipples were VERY sore, but now the sensation has tapered off. My nipples also appear to be a bit darker and larger, and the areolas themselves seem to have grown a little in size. I also have those bumps on my areola, which I've had before but are now more pronounced. I also spat out a lot of blood once when brushing my teeth. I heard bleeding gums are also a sign.

I'm scared because I was sure I was pregnant but now I don't feel like it anymore. I tested last night, but it was negative. I'm supposed to start my period tomorrow, so I'm going to test again in the morning. I'm just really nervous and excited and hoping that this sounds like pregnancy to some of you.

Thanks for your help.

My wife and I are trying to have our first child. Is there a position that is best for her to conceive? Is there something we can do to improve our chances?

Okay I was diagnosed with PCOS last month and I have ben taking Fortamet/Gluchophage extended release...The only side affect I have had was using the bathroom alot more often....Today though I got this horrible taste in my mouth...Ive been on the meds already a month and never had it before...the pharmacy said that the taste could be from the meds...
i was browsing yahoo questions and i seen several people say that had this same taste when they were pregnant...Besides using the meds I started a Ovulatoin Kit last month and we did it twice when my ovulation kit came back positive...So, its only been 7 days since we did it, is it possible this taste really could be because i might be pregnant this month or do you think those people who claim pregnant people get this taste are wrong?

I have been trying to get pregnant for a year. I think I may be, I know I need to go take a test, but it almost feels too good to be true. I usually have very heavy periods, and for 3 days I have only spotted, I used a pad today to see if there was any accumulation and there was a small amount this morning about the size of a nickel, and now its just back to when I wipe, and its very light and pink? I know its graphic, but I needed to get the point across ..sorry.

First off, I tend to vote Democrat and could not be more against the Iraq War. Visit some other discussions on this site. You’ll see that I have big issues with conservative political policies. Secondly, Lawful does NOT = Right nor does it = correct! Your argument for relative morality I will agree does make sense on a grand scale. Peoples’ sense of morals can differ and still fall within the acceptable societal norm. However, for specific issues, morals are not relative, but concretely static! One of those morals is the right to live your life without it being intentionally taken away from you by another human being. Imagine your reaction if you were having a discussion with someone and they told you, with all sincerity, that they didn’t think killing or ending human life was morally wrong. Would you consider this person moral? Would you still talk to this person? My bet is that you would not. An overwhelming majority of people would think that this person was off their rocker and would avoid them like the plague. Furthermore, I still get a kick out of fellow debaters trying to discount my argument because they say I’ve based my belief on my religion. I have done no such thing (I haven’t gone to church regularly in years). I’ve used deductive logic, with science and the basic moral principle that I just mentioned above concerning right to life as my benchmarks, to form my conclusion. Science tells us that at conception, a living human cell is formed. It begins a process called mitosis, which is the process of cell division, or growth. Science also tells us that dead cells cannot divide and grow. If these cells are human cells, and they are growing, then from the above we can logically conclude that we do, in fact, have human life. And if we can, from above, mutually agree that human life has the right to complete their existence without being eliminated in an intentional way (society’s basic agreement on right to life), then we can conclude that abortion is morally wrong. It’s not a hard argument to follow. I do appreciate your history lesson with regards to the Courts rulings (I’m aware of the Court’s rulings, thank you), but again, they don’t really apply in our discussion. I never argued that abortion was illegal, or that women didn’t have the legal right to have them done. What I did was say they didn’t have the moral right. What I did was call them immoral, based on irrefutable scientific fact, an irrefutable and binding societal contract to not end human life, and deductive reasoning. That’s actually ironic when you think about it. Here we have, as I said above, far left liberals arguing ethics and moral standards when it comes to economic and political matters, such as minimum wage fairness, characteristics of the free market, CEO golden parachutes, gaps in compensation between the elitists and proletariats, and desired government intervention during the oil price surge ( just to name a few). Yet, they can’t see how their own argument and position in this discussion is violating the most basic societal contract. There’s HUGE inconsistency on the left when it comes to a discussion about morals. But the real kicker is this: while there are pro lifers out there that are whacked and clearly have gone off the deep end, many pro lifers cite the same arguments I have, and we get accused of trying to set up a sectarian form of government to push our religious beliefs. And on the other hand, you have the pro choicers who contend that life doesn’t begin until birth. Of what are they basing that on in this MORAL argument? Science rejects their claim. So what then are they basing it on? The only thing that’s left is…faith.

I have two sons one born in 2000, one born in 2003. I had a miscarriage in October of 2005 (while my husband and I were trying to conceive a daughter), and we've been trying practically everyday since then but to no avail. I have regular periods which run like clockwork, I am just not getting pregnant. (I'm 26).Even with the other two they weren't planned, we just had unprotected intercourse for years until the pregnancies happend.Has anyone tried any herbs or known tips for getting pregnant? I even tried a month's supply of Ovulex but that hasn't worked either. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!!! :)

i am still student although few months from now i would be graduating. a night had happened since one of my group mate in a hospital duty, that sex thing went on. after a week, the girl started to call me up and saying that her expected period has missed.. i told not to panic because she is maybe delayed two days after her actual period, but it isn't. she has been delayed for 3 weeks now, and she called me up again saying that she maybe is pregnant..
man i cant think about any option or abortion (no way!).. but to tell her to continue the pregnancy.. for me, this is unwanted because i have no feelings for her, she seduced me and we were both drunk. man im really guilty about it. about the girl, she is 4 years older than me (im 20 and she's 24), and she has her first child with another man, but she's not with her child and that guy at present, she told me her story about that guy having another relationship, it lets me think she just hve done it to me bec. of rebellion. pls help! =(

Hi,
My hubby and I have been trying to get PG for 4 months now, I have been off the b/c Pill since Oct 21, and there has been NO luck. I am a healthy weight, and have a 5 year old from another relationship, however my hubby is very overweight and is older then me, I am 26 and he is 35.

I am scared with him being overweight he will not be able to get me PG. Also how long after stopping the pill should it take. It's already been 4 months. I am losing hope, each month I get my period I get so sad. It's my biggest dream to have another baby, and this is so hard for me.

Is there still hope, or should I give up?

Do the cramps you get during implantation feel just like your period cramps?? or can you tell a difference? I have been having alot of indication that i might be pregnant and then about an hour ago i got like a burst of heavy blood, enough to fill a tampon, then i went to the bathroom (peed) and when i wiped, nothing, now there is some blood there again and im experiancing cramping very heavily in my right leg (happens to me as soon as my period starts) but its worst than normal. Could this be implantation or a late period, or miscarriage?? If i am one of those people who will get there period during pregnancy, will i still be able to get a positive pregnancy test during my period?? Thanks!
