Okay I was diagnosed with PCOS last month and I have ben taking Fortamet/Gluchophage extended release...The only side affect I have had was using the bathroom alot more often....Today though I got this horrible taste in my mouth...Ive been on the meds already a month and never had it before...the pharmacy said that the taste could be from the meds...
i was browsing yahoo questions and i seen several people say that had this same taste when they were pregnant...Besides using the meds I started a Ovulatoin Kit last month and we did it twice when my ovulation kit came back positive...So, its only been 7 days since we did it, is it possible this taste really could be because i might be pregnant this month or do you think those people who claim pregnant people get this taste are wrong?

I think the only way to know for sure is to wait until u miss ur period and take a test. Sorry I know that isn't what u want to hear, but no pregnancy is the same and just b/c someone experiences one symptom while preg. doesn't make it the "norm" so u will just have to wait. Good Luck though.

The metal taste I believe is from the prenatal vitamins and all that iron. with that said, just keep thinking all month long your pregnant and take care of yourself. i think when ttc its more fun not to test and overtest. Just have sex and believe everytime that "this is it" and if you get aunt flo just remember that its what is getting your body ready for the next time.
also, from personal experience, evertime something "weird" happened to me, I was pregnant, so maybe you are! Why not?
And one more thing, if you do get AF just remember, I got preg twice on my period! Keep positive! I will send you good fertility vibes! Good luck!
