I heard from someone that it is good for your baby if you listen to Beethoven? Mozart? while pregnant - as it will help soothe the baby and help in its developments? Any suggestions ? Links to music?

got my period on jan 4th. my next one was suppose to come on the Feb 1st. took prego test on fri it came out neg. but i still have not got my period, only spotting on sat. This is very unusual. my period is like clock work. is it possible i am prego? if so then why did the test come out negative

My boyfriend and I are trying to get pergnate and I am having a hard time deciding if i want to take the risk of giving my unborn baby hurrpies, I was giving hurpies when I was raped and I dont want my baby to have to go through the hurt of having hurpies could I be endangering my unborn babys life?

I went to therapy but it was impossible to heal in such a short period of time, I just came out from an abusive home environment and I did everything in my power to heal, the therapy helped but most of my pregancy I was suicidal. I am afraid for the emotional wellbeing of my baby.
Please tell me if my baby is going to be ok, she will be born in two more months.

i have had a stitch put in my cervix to prevent me from going into labor early? i have already called my dr i am waiting for them to call me back do you think they will want me to come in?
i just feel my stomach getting hard every so often it doesnt hurt but it happens about every 7 minutes or so i am 18 weeks is this normal

Ok this is my first pregnancy and I was wondering if you get the epidural and when its time to push how will you know how to push if you can't feel anything? Also I was told that the nurses push on your stomach to get out blood clots or something of that nature and I heard it hurts bad. How long do the nurses do this? I have previously asked labor questions be4 but I am 37 weeks now and I am getting to that worried point cause it's almost the end for me. So if anyone could tell me anything about the questions I asked or about their labor experiences in general it would be a big help. Thanks.

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant and I think I might be. I am supposed to start my cycle Wednesday, Jan. 7 but I was wondering if I could go ahead and test. I am no more than 2 weeks pregnant, I just found out- I am scheduled for a tonsillectomy tomorrow and they will only do it under general anesthesia. I am getting my tonsils out because they are huge and are obstructing my breathing so much that I have sleep apnea (stop breathing) at night. I really really really want them out because I'm so scared of sleep apnea (and it's not supposed to be good for babies). However, I know that general anesthesia could be a risk for a baby too. Does anyone know if it is a risk at this stage (only 2 weeks pregnant?). Do you think I should have this procedure done?

Im pregnant but very scared to tell my mom im not scared that she'll kill me or sumfin jus her reaction. I've know for bout 3 weeks nw n still haven't told her the longer i leave it the worse it feels please help!! this is my second pregnancy and i swear at this time last time i was bigger. i cant find anything that shows typically how big someone should be, should i really be showing or is this normal to look maybe a month or two pregnant.
by the way i show early i am very petite like 4'11 and 90 lbs (pre pregnancy) so with my first i got pretty big, is this normal to not be as big as i was last time?

sometimes its gets hard and I dont know if this is baby movement ? gas? or possible braxton hicks contractions? Once it was only on one side? I had a preterm baby 7 years ago so I am nervous and not sure if I am EVEN suppose to have BH this early. Can anyone help ??

i need some advice. im due to have my baby in 2 weeks and i have been thinking about breastfeeding. my b/f wants me to do it as we both know its better for the baby, but honestly thw whole i dea makes me feel sick. is this normal? will it become the most natural thing to me once the baby gets here? has anyone else had the same fears. plus i have read it helps you bond with your baby better.

With my first baby store bought prenancy tests didn't work. 12 tests later and an ultra sound determined that I was four months along. This time I have been suspiciouse and purchased a store bought test...used it at 6:30 this morning. I only held it in the stream for about 3 to 5 seconds, it recommends 10 seconds at least. The vertical positive line showed up in a matter of seconds, the horizontal line is faint but visible. Would this be a trusted test? Would you trust it? I was on depo about 1.5 years ago for almost 5 years so I'm not sure as we have been trying but with no luck. Please help, I really want to be but don't want to get my hopes up.

I have not had a period since the middle of December. I spotted a little brown when I should have had a period in January but nothing ever happened. I have brown spotting now but I feel like I did when I was in the early stages of pregnancy with my first two children. We are not trying to get pregnant. I don't know what to think about the symtoms.

I am 28 weeks pregnant and not especially big for this stage of pregnancy, but I am already find that my bump is really getting in my way and making everyday tasks difficult.
I find it really hard to reach into the washing machine and tumble dryer. Earlier I sat on a chair to try to make it easier to get into the dryer and the chair slipped back and I fell on the floor.
I feel totally pathetic, as all pregnant women must go through this but no one seems to moan about it. I wonder how I am going to cope as I get even bigger over the next few months.
Does anyone have any advice to help me cope or how to make everyday tasks easier?

I'm 18 weeks as of today and I've slowly been able to feel the baby more and more as the days pass. Kicking more often, ect. Well, everytime I feel the baby kick, I try to put my hand on the spot, to feel with my hand as well...the baby is stubborn and stops kicking AS SOON as I try and feel the spot, lol. So, last night the baby was kicking all over, so I put my hands right over that spot and pressed and felt the baby kicking like 5 different times!! It was crazy. Is this seriously possible at 18 weeks, because if it wasn't, that was weird...lol
