My sisterwas just diagnosed. Yes you can have babies naturally, but only if you are not having a breakout. If you are broken out , your baby will be delivereid through c-section. The transmission of herpes is only when you have open sores or are right before I breakout. I'm really sorry for your rape. I hope you get the answers you need.

Do you mean herpes? If so, I think you can take that medication if you are having an outbreak or something. I believe the medication will suppress an outbreak and you are able to have a normal natural birth. You'd have to ask your primary care gyno for accuracy. It is important to tell your doctor about your herpes, otherwise, if you are having an outbreak, and hide it from your doctor, you can possibly pass it on to your child. Unfortunately you contracted it, but it's not the end of the world - just take the medication - apparently, you can live a fairly normal life according to the commercials.

Yes you could hurt your baby. But only I think if you have an outbreak while delivering, I was told it could cause the baby to be blind. You should however check with your doctor to see what would be the best method for delivery.

My best friends sister has herpies delivered her daughter vaginally, and did not pass it to her. Unless you have an outbreak going on at the time of delivery, you have a very low chance of passing it on.
Just make sure your dr knows you have it and can get antibiotics and the glycerin drops on the baby ASAP after delivery.
Oh and its spelled h-e-r-p-i-e-s .

You can only give your baby herpes during childbirth if you are having an outbreak at the time of delivery.
