With my first baby store bought prenancy tests didn't work. 12 tests later and an ultra sound determined that I was four months along. This time I have been suspiciouse and purchased a store bought test...used it at 6:30 this morning. I only held it in the stream for about 3 to 5 seconds, it recommends 10 seconds at least. The vertical positive line showed up in a matter of seconds, the horizontal line is faint but visible. Would this be a trusted test? Would you trust it? I was on depo about 1.5 years ago for almost 5 years so I'm not sure as we have been trying but with no luck. Please help, I really want to be but don't want to get my hopes up.

A faint line is a pregnant line.
Congratulations!

Horizontal according to the test is pregnant?
Well then you are pregnant...
I know that they are plenty of false negatives in these preg tests, but a false postive is very unlikely since this test detected some level of the pregnancy hormone in your urine..
I have had false negatives in my two pregnancies...the blood test confirmed it everytime (that I was pregnant), but never the Store bought test..my levels in my urine were too low to register, and I would have to be like 9 months pregnant to have a positive result, and by that time..it would have been pretty obvious..
Having had false negatives before I would say go see a doc and confirm your suspicion!

Good Luck

A line is a line, no matter how faint it is. I tested a week late with my last pregnancy and my husband was convinced I was seeing things. I wasn't. I was indeed pregnant and actually having twins. Although we did not find that out til 17 weeks.

If it read positive, then you can bet on it that you're pregnant! Congrats!! You should call your doctor and make an appt. Tell them that you had a positive home test and would like some blood work done to be sure.

hey with my first pregnancy I got 3 false negatives. Wait a few days and take another test. That's a good way to find out.
