Pregnancy - February 2007

Im 16weeks pregnant my last appointment was on the 31st of Jan and the next is on the 28th. I will be 18weeks that day, At my last appointment I heard the baby's heartbeat with the lil machine they put on my stomach. I was wondering at this appointment will I be able to find out what Im having? And what excactly can I expect?

Can anyone recommend a website with tips on breathing techniques throughout the stages of labor? I'd like to print it out and have it handy when the time comes. (I've seen a few sites, but I don't know which one is best. Thanks!)

I make $1600/month before taxes which seems to be too much for food stamps or hardly any kind of help with anything.... =( Is there any program out there that can help me....anything helps.

ive had two scans and have been told my fluid around my baby is on the low side. My fluid is borderline, Ive a repeat scan on thursday to check my babys kidneys etc. But im terrified,ive to have it done in the fetal medicine unit at my local hostpital. Has anyone experienced this.

First, for those who took birthing classes do you recommend, or do you think I could learn enough by certain books, etc. any recommendations?
Second, anyone have thoughts on book "on becoming babywise".? Has anyone ever used this method? I have lots of people recommending and just want to see what majority thinks.

in the room with you watching you deliver your baby? With my first child I only had the doctor and nurse in the room. I know a lot of women will have their hubby in there or possibly several family members. I just think this is such a private matter. Ladies, what are your opinions??

My last period was January 5th, but I had intercourse on January18th, 19th and 21st. My period is not regular so next period supposed to be between February 1st and feb.5th. I took home pregnancy test and it came out positive. How do I calculate the weeks? Thank you for help.

I am 34 years old and I have never been pregnant :( I have used NuvaRing for the last two years. My normal date for removal was this last friday. On the 12 of Jan (ironically - end date of my last ring) I started a round of 10 days of antibiotics (Keflex). On the weekend of the 26th I had an unexpected chance to see my boyfriend - wasn't thinking of antibiotics. Had unprotected sex all weekend.
When I returned home I had extreme emotions (like PMS, but out of normal timing and for an entire week - for me, abnormal). The punchline is, since the beginning of last week I have been constantly exhausted and no appetite. Last wed I had a heavy brown/grey? discharge for about two days. Yesterday and today I have had minor spotting.
I've tested, and they show negative - but I understand it may be too early to tell.
If that was implantation last week, how long before the hormones should show in a test?

Hey all, I am going to have my first ultrasound next week, I will be 16 weeks pregnant, Is it possible they might tell if it is a boy or girl? I had a friend that found out she was having a boy when she was 16 weeks, but was just wondering how common this is.

My period can & always has been a bit unpredictable, it would range anywhere from 26 to 30 days. I've never spotted or missed a period though. This month, I have my typical pms symptoms (bloating, tired, moody, breast/nipples hurt) but on Thursday the 8th, I had a tiny bit of bleeding ,light brown which lasted only about a half an hour. I haven't had any bleeding since. I'm now at 31 days... Could this be implantation bleeding or a messed up period? How long should I wait to test? Thanks

me and my boyfriend had sex on december and like a month after that ifelt very basd on my stomach. q1.. Im 4 months pregnant and gaining weight so fast! This is my first child. Im only 18 and before I was tiny and had a fast metabolism. Im thick now, i weigh 120, i know it doesnt seem alot for most but it is for me. im 5'3. what can i do to stop gainig weight so fast. Im always hungry and I eat till im full, but that can be 4meals in one setting! no joke! My tummy was getting bigger and now it seems like its small again. Scale says I have gained 15 lbs but I think it all went to my butt. I thought I was feeling the baby move but I don't anymore. I just don't feel pregnant anymore and Im paranoid bc of a previous miscarriage. Does anyone know what to expect about 15 weeks? I have a pooch but Im not sure f you consider that showing.
