Im 16weeks pregnant my last appointment was on the 31st of Jan and the next is on the 28th. I will be 18weeks that day, At my last appointment I heard the baby's heartbeat with the lil machine they put on my stomach. I was wondering at this appointment will I be able to find out what Im having? And what excactly can I expect?

Yes you can find out what you're having at that appointment if your doc does an ultrasound. If you havent already, you will have your pelvic exam and all of your prenatal testing done at that appointment also. Good Luck!

At your 18 week appointment they will most likely schedule you for your 20 week ultrasound. It is at the ultrasound that you will be able to find out the gender (assuming the baby is positioned in such a way that the ultrasound technician can see his/her genetalia). Good luck!

I would say that the apt would be about average. Bllod pressure, urinalysis and funal check. My dr told me any time past 20 weeks you can adequately determine the gender. I will be 16 weeks at my next apt. MArch 2nd. Good Luck! I hope I am incorrect ad you get to see the gender.

Well are they doing an ultra sound? they normally dont do the regular ultra sounds till between 18-22 weeks. But yeah you can find out what you are having, if your little one decides to open the legs!! Good luck and congradulations!

They will usually do an ultrasound at 20 weeks and you should be able to tell if it wants to show you. Good luck.

At your next apointment they should schedule you for an ultrasound, but no you wont find out what you're having right then and there (unless yoru doc's office does the ultrasounds themselves)

Yes, you can find out the sex now!! You should be having an ultasound around 18 weeks.

they might do an altrasound whenever u go back..or wait until ur next app...they usually do one around 20 weeks
