My last period was January 5th, but I had intercourse on January18th, 19th and 21st. My period is not regular so next period supposed to be between February 1st and feb.5th. I took home pregnancy test and it came out positive. How do I calculate the weeks? Thank you for help.

On Mon. Feb 12th you will be 5 3/7 weeks pregnant. Conception probably occured Jan. 19th. First Trimester Ends (12 weeks) : Friday, March 30,Second Trimester Ends (27 weeks)Friday, July 13, 2007.
Estimated Due Date (40 weeks) Friday, October 12th, 2007

5 weeks 3 days (you have been pregnant for 3 weeks )
Due Date would be about 10-12-07
You count 40 weeks from last period or 38 weeks from conception...Dr will you from last period so it is easier to just go with that or you will get confused alot!

1. Calculating weeks yourself is never accurate.
2. Even when a nurse calculates the weeks, which she will at your first appointment, THAT is a guess too.
3. If you're doing this because you're not sure who the father is, WAIT until a doctor calculates, because you don't want wrong information from Yahoo idiots in that case.
4. Most people on these forums can't spell, so I don't think they'd be math majors either.

You count the weeks from the 1st date of your last period (at least they do at the Dr office), then add 2 weeks (I believe) to estimate your conception date.

5 weeks 3 days pregnant--gestational age (from lmp)
Approx. 3 weeks 3 days fetal age.
Doctors use gestational age (from last menstral period).
Due date October 12, 2007.

subtract 2 months=november 5 and add 7 days=november 12 should be due date!
